Volunteering – Help shape the future!

CMHA-VF is most grateful for our volunteers’ genuine passion, commitment and expertise in helping us increase our capacity to serve our community and positively impact those with mental health challenges.
We provide a wide range of in-person and virtual opportunities, allowing you to gain transferable skills to help better prepare for employment, meet new people and collaborate with others addressing the equity, diversity and inclusion of our mental health community.
How to Get Involved
Volunteers can participate on our CMHA-VF Board or an advisory committee, engage in annual fundraising events or promote our community outreach and education programs encompassing youth, adults and seniors.
Currently, we are seeking volunteers for:
- Philanthropy/Fundraising Department – requiring 5 volunteers to assist with our ‘Giving Tuesday’ Campaign – Nov 20th to 28th (largest global generosity movement involving 90 countries supporting non-profit organizations)

- Treasure Chest Thrift Store is located in the heart of Uptown New Westminster, at 435 – 6th St. NW., with all proceeds supporting programs and services within our CMHA-VF mental health community. The Thrift Store provides volunteers with employment training skills and opportunities for residents to enjoy a meaningful experience interacting with their peers and community members.
