Champions of Hope
Join the Champions of Hope program and fundraise independently on behalf of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Vancouver-Fraser branch (CMHA-VF), to support mental health. As a Champion, you can design your own fundraising event or project—anything, anywhere, anytime—and donate the proceeds to CMHA-VF while promoting mental health in the community.
2024 Bling-a-thon
The Bling-a-Thon began in December 2019 when Pamela Steen started wearing bling-filled outfits to spread joy and spark conversations about mental health. What started as a personal initiative has grown into a vital part of the Shine Bright Campaign, supporting mental health programs through the Canadian Mental Health Association, Vancouver-Fraser. Despite facing her own mental health struggles this year, Pam is determined to keep shining bright for her community.
Drop the Puck for Mental Health 2025
The 6th annual Drop the Puck for Mental Health returns on January 18, 2025, at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre in Vancouver. Organized by UBC’s Beta Theta Pi and Phi Delta Theta, this fundraiser has raised over $161,000 since 2018 for mental health programs, with a growing focus on youth support. This year’s goal is $30,000 to benefit CMHA, Vancouver-Fraser’s youth programs, Here4Peers and UROK.
