Voices of Hope #VOH
So often we feel like we are riding a roller coaster of emotions. With constantly changing COVID-19 related restrictions, schools closures, gym shutdowns, event cancellations, and hospitals at capacity, our individual and community mental health are being stretched to the limit. And yet we find hope through the voices of friends, family, and the kind words of strangers.
And yet we find hope through the voices of friends, family, and the kind words of strangers.
Over the next 10 weeks, our Voices of Hope winter fundraising campaign will share stories of hope from our participants and clients, stories of how they are able to manage their own mental health as we struggle with daily challenges.
Canadian Olympic medalist Brent Hayden will lend his voice and lived experience to this important cause. Together our goal is to raise $100,000 to support key mental health programs in Vancouver – Fraser, ensuring students have free access to mental health literacy programs in school (Here4Peers), kids living with a parent with a mental illness can build resilience and have free access to monthly activity-based programs (Urban Resiliency Opportunities for Kids) and Chinese Seniors have free access to leisure activities and mental health resources, reducing loneliness and isolation (Chinese Seniors Wellness Program).
We will get through this together. We are asking for your help TODAY to provide accessibility to the mental health support that we all deserve.
You can make a one-time gift or consider becoming a monthly donor.
