BounceBack®: reclaim your health

BounceBack® helps individuals (aged 13+) overcome early symptoms of depression and anxiety; it also helps to improve their mental health. Participants learn skills to help combat unhelpful thinking, manage worry and anxiety, and become more active and assertive.

BounceBack® is an evidence-based program based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy [CBT].  CBT is proven to be as effective as medication for reducing the symptoms of mild to moderate depression and anxiety.

BounceBack® offers an instructional DVD with practical tips on recognizing and dealing with depressive symptoms and a series of educational workbooks with trained telephone coaches to reinforce the application of cognitive-behavioral strategies. Available for free across BC and funded by Provincial Health Service Authority, BounceBack® has been shown to help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety by half, and over 90% say they would recommend it to a friend or family member

The video is available in English, Mandarin and Cantonese and is available through your doctor or by calling 1-866-639-0522 (toll-free). The BounceBack® workbooks are available in English with telephone coaching in English, Mandarin, French, Cantonese, or Punjabi.
